Job Description Summary

Mirati is looking for an experienced and motivated Executive Assistant to the Vice President of U.S. Sales. As a trusted partner, this role will work alongside the sales leadership team and internal stakeholders in a high-paced, growth environment providing executive-level administrative support helping the team achieve key outcomes in support of Mirati’s product launch. The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of U.S. Sales also serves as a liaison to the team and oversees special projects as assigned. The role reports directly to the Vice President of U.S. Sales and will be based remotely in the U.S. (preferably in the eastern region).

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President of U.S. Sales and other members of the leadership team as assigned
  • Schedule and prepare for complex virtual, on-site/off-site meetings with multiple competing priorities
  • Manage executive calendars and coordinate extensive travel planning
  • Prepares and distributes various corporate documents such as agendas, meeting minutes, and/or resolutions
  • Processes expense reports of assigned staff within electronic expense reporting system, handling receipts, meeting attendance, and corporate credit card transactions
  • Facilitate meeting logistics
  • Assist executive(s) in proofreading and editing materials, propounding feedback to authors, and collecting finalized materials well in advance of meetings. Said materials include but are not limited to agendas, decks, and pre-read materials
  • Develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce deadlines
  • As needed, capture and disseminate meeting minutes
  • Edit presentations and various communications for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate, route and track legal documents, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Maintain electronic departmental filing system
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, open mail, and prepare meeting documents
  • Provide back-up support to Sr. Management, as needed
  • Other duties, as assigned

What is Required

  • Minimum of eight years of experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably with a pharmaceutical, or related industry, sales organization
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle and prioritize simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment and work with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and operation of other peripheral devices
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work cross functional with all levels across the organization and prior experience supporting field sales functions highly preferred
  • Familiarity with small company operations and new team corporate structures

The National Business Director, Sales (West) will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and leading a team of field Sales Managers and Sales Representatives for the Western Region of Mirati’s first-ever sales team to be formed in preparation for the launch of our first commercial product, adagrasib, a KRAS G12c inhibitor. The selected candidate will work cross-functional with in-office and field-based team in Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Data & Analytics to drive the success of our launch including providing expertise and valuable input in developing the overall strategy and successful execution of key initiatives and tactics. Critical elements to this position are the hiring, onboarding, training and development of the sales team in the Western Region. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President of U.S. Sales and other members of Hire, direct, develop and manage a high-performing oncology sales team (Sales Managers and Sales Representatives) to meet the evolving needs of customers and drive business results
  • Drive programs and activities that result in increased access to customers
  • Direct the development and execution of a customer engagement plan within the region that is aligned with adagrasib launch strategies and tactics
  • Work cross functionally with in-office teams, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and field management to maximize brand adoption and growth within key accounts, including the successful execution of promotional activities
  • Stays well-versed and owns a strong understanding of payer mix, reimbursement environment, and distribution to lead a targeted strategy in assigned region.

  • Regularly evaluates the sales team performances against established objectives, regional and national; Provides Mirati leadership with reporting, covering business issues, performance results, and customer service issues;
  • Participates in strategic planning and sales forecasting. Provides market insights, trends, competitive activity and conditions. Analyzes and reports changing needs within the sales organization for training, sales programs and field assets.
  • Ensures customer expectations are exceeded; develops business plan that fits continually changing marketplace.
  • Plans, forecasts, and oversees regional operating budgets, while actively monitoring expenses as part of overall P/L management;
  • Coaches, develops and ensures focus and alignment with functional and company goals.
  • Provide consistent, timely and accurate performance feedback based on observations of key customer interactions as part of an overall performance management process through timely assessment of performance using quantifiable outcomes.

What is Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biological Sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with demonstrated success in product launches and building high-performance sales teams
  • Experience that includes the management and leadership of field Sales Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Minimum 5 years oncology experience, solid tumors and oral oncolytic preferred. Non-small cell lung cancer experience highly preferred
  • Experience in leading a sales team in the academic and community markets
  • Demonstrated success working in a small to mid-size biotech company, reflecting an entrepreneurial culture and innovative mindset.
  • Demonstrated track record of success, leading teams, and developing talent.
  • Prior in-house and field management rotational experience in Marketing, Sales Operations, Training, and/or Market Access preferred

Job Description Summary

Mirati is looking for an experienced, motivated, and driven Director of Sales Training. As a key member of the U.S. Sales Team, the Director of Sales Training is accountable for the creation, execution, and active management of launch training initiatives, that will ensure consistent selling and cross-functional collaboration approaches across all U.S. Sales professionals and field teams, directly supporting the strategic and operational objectives of the Commercial organization. This includes impactful management development, new hire training, advanced and recurrent training, as well as additional field and in-office development initiatives for emerging leaders. There will be an enhanced focus on digital selling skills and anticipate training forums will include both in-person and virtual/e-learning focused activities. This integral role of the U.S. Sales Team will lead the design, development, and implementation of a wide range of training objectives and sales force effectiveness initiatives with an emphasis on developing and enhancing customer-engagement and communication skills to drive the uptake of adagrasib. This role will collaborate cross-functionally and engage external business partners to establish learning and development processes (learning tools and resources/programs/technology/metrics) and include comprehensive and continual assessment of stakeholders needs to ensure alignment towards the achievement strategic and operational goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience as a successful pharmaceutical sales professional, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills, knowledge of adult learning practices, and competency in all aspects of sales excellence and the application of selling skills in a complex environment. Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the curriculum development and implementation of a initial and advanced U.S. Sales Training Program and oversee entire training curriculum, including best practices in sales training concepts and associated objectives in leveraging omnichannel plan for engaging customers, descriptions, and sequencing for all training efforts including the development of internal procedures.
  • Adopts emerging and innovative technology to increase effectiveness of delivery and maximize resources, including advanced CRM system.
  • Partner with the Vice President of U.S. Sales with resourcing Regional Business Directors with the necessary knowledge and skills around leadership, coaching, and business acumen to successfully meet or exceed the goals of their assigned teams.

What is Required
