Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician & Equipment Engineer to help support our growing company and expanding facility footprint. We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience supporting a Biotech or Pharmaceutical organization’s class A office and state-of-the-art research laboratory spaces. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Facilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Performing maintenance and repair of offices, labs, and support equipment
  • Completing service requests for standard office and research lab such as:
    • Hanging pictures and dry erase boards
    • Unpacking and delivering equipment to end-users
    • Coordinating the installation of services and utilities for new equipment
    • Working with office and lab service providers to support operations
  • Building and HVAC Operations, Maintenance, and Repair with vendor support including:
    • House utilities (air, vacuum, gas, electrical, plumbing)
    • Emergency power systems (UPS and backup diesel generator)
    • Central plant operations, maintenance, repair, and optimization
    • Building HVAC Controls (BMS/DDC)
    • Fire and life safety systems
  • Troubleshooting & Repairing standard laboratory equipment including:
    • Biology/Tissue Culture lab equipment (Bio-safety cabinets and incubators)
    • Chemistry lab equipment (vacuum pumps, gas delivery systems)
    • Cryogenic liquids handling/use and equipment associated with their use
    • Cold storage and process alarm monitoring systems
  • Overseeing vendor and contractor support for both the facility and lab equipment
  • Equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair (validation and QA/QC experience)
  • Coordinating Hazardous material & Hazardous waste handling and disposal
  • Supporting Space planning and move coordination effort (furniture moves & modifications)
  • Supporting office and laboratory tenant improvement projects (contractor supervision)
  • Supporting the company’s safety culture, best/safe practices

What is Required

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask
  • Good attention to detail and delivers top quality work
  • Ability to comprehend and follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies
  • Strong communication skills; Team player with great people skills
  • Experience with desktop office applications (i.e. MS Office suite)
  • Experience working in the biotech/life science industry is required
  • Experience with Cold Storage equipment, both refrigeration and cryogenic
  • HVAC, BMS, DDC Controls experience
  • Experience with the administration of physical access control systems

Job Description Summary

As a member of the Information Technology team, this individual is responsible for commercial systems implementation, management, and support. Under the direction of the Commercial IT Business Partner, this individual will work closely with Commercial Sales, Medical Affairs, and Data and Analytics teams to incorporate business requirements, processes, and data sources into the new systems. Strong analytical and project lifecycle management skills are required, including a thorough understand of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. The Commercial Systems Administrator must be able to provide application/technical support and perform system administration functions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation or upgrades to all systems as needed. Ensures new and existing systems can support the business processes and requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members, developers (internal/external), vendors and business owners in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new system functionality.
  • Work with project teams, where needed, to ensure effective interoperability of services and technologies and assure alignment of solution designs with Mirati’s standards, policies and procedures, as well as any regulatory or compliance requirements
  • Lead requirement gathering efforts for new systems capabilities/needs.
  • Transform business requirements into clear and comprehensive functional specifications.
  • Develop test plans, use cases and leads test execution.
  • Provide system administration and operational support, including user and security management, and post-production end-user support.
  • Monitor and resolve application issues by working with vendors and service providers
  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with key vendors of systems, software, and consulting services.

What is Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Deep understanding of CRM, CLM, MDM, data warehouse, and business intelligence/reporting capabilities, specifically in the life sciences industry.
  • Knowledge of industry and technology trends and best practices in data integration, application integration, information management, and business analytics.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting Commercial and Medical Affairs business processes
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience planning, implementing, and supporting software solutions in a disciplined environment
  • 2+ years of CRM administration and operational support, ideally with Veeva or the Salesforce platform.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Ability to conduct research into application issues and products

This role will partner with Mirati’s G&A and core support functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Program Management, etc.) to drive value with systems implementations and enhancements. This role will also provide management and oversight for G&A and Enterprise-wide projects, and should have experience in biotech or other regulated industries. Your Responsibilities

  • Partners with assigned business units, Finance, HR, and Legal and other Departments to understand current systems and business processes, provide best practice guidance and to inform on latest features and functionality.
  • Monitors and controls the performance and status of corporate business applications used for accounting and financial operations, human resource information systems, and legal contract systems, including forecasting and analysis systems.
  • Represent the IT function as a member of the Company’s ERP implementation team and help develop strategic roadmap for this core functionality over the coming years
  • Act as liaison for outside vendors during installation, modification, and training, of application software.
  • Monitors software requirements, determines application utilization, and recommends upgrades/enhancements as needed.
  • Provides project leadership in planning, design, implementation and support of business applications; insures interface with existing applications, network and operational server environments.
  • Performs administrative and management tasks required to establish and maintain compliance with various regulatory standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC, Dept. of Labor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What is Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in Information Technology specifically working with the technologies of the functions indicated, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Biotech industry experience preferred.
  • Certifications in relevant areas preferred (MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA, PMP, etc.)
  • Understanding of industry standard frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current Microsoft ecosystem
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Office 365 Productivity Suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platform and related components
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred, as well as HRIS platforms that are commonly used in the biotech industry.
  • Must understand privacy regulations including, but not limited to CCPA, HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Good understanding of regulatory guidelines such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Experience and comfort working with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities rapidly to meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and an excellent written and verbal communicator.
