Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor the intern will provide operational and scientific support to lab personnel within Biology. While engaging in individual research projects each intern will directly contribute to the operational success of the Biology lab, practice essential lab techniques, and acquire data analysis experience.

Your Responsibilities

Glassware washing, consumable stocking, Inventory cycle count, supply ordering, labeling, reagent preparation, cell culture maintenance, cell-based assays, in vitro functional screening assays (viability, apoptosis etc.), molecular biology techniques (RNA and DNA extraction), western blotting, immunocytochemistry and computer-based data acquisition and analysis

What is Required

  • Candidate must be a current student in good standing, pursuing a degree in biomedical research or medicine.

  • Candidate must be a self-starter, eager to learn, punctual, possess excellent communication skills. Completion of introductory biology and chemistry courses is required. Computer proficiency (MS office suite).

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range:

$23.00 - $25.00 / hour
