Job Description Summary
The Associate Scientist (Contractor), Analytical R&D will report to the Associate Director, Analytical R&D. In this role, the Associate Scientist will support internal analytical research and development testing for both early and late-stage development projects. This role will also collaborate with Chemical Development and Product Development.
Your Responsibilities
Associate Scientist would be responsible to support routine analytical testing within ARD for both early and late-stage development projects.
Utilization of analytical test methods for drug substances (small molecules), raw materials, process intermediates, and drug products (i.e., capsules, tablets).
Activities would include material characterization, assay/purity, dissolution, excipient compatibility, prototype stability, water content, residual solvents, media/buffer preparation, and sample management.
Typical equipment would include HPLC, UPLC, GC-FID, GC-HS, KF, Dissolution tester, TGA, DSC, and PXRD.
Closely collaborate with Chemical Development and Product Development.
Evaluate data and summarize in associated reports and documentation.
What is Required
Batcheler (BS) degree with 0-2 years relevant experience, or Masters (M.S.) degree in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline.
Experience with analytical development of small molecules and solid oral dosage forms in various stages of development (preclinical to Phase 3).
Knowledge of various analytical techniques and experience with lab equipment cited above.
Salary Range:
$30.00 - $45.00 / hour
