Job Description Summary

The VP, Market Access & Pricing International, heads up all aspects of Market Access and Pricing in International markets. Recognized as an influential leader and responsible for developing and implementing strategies for obtaining favorable reimbursement, coordinating, and directing International pricing decisions, and coordinating formulary access in all International markets. Works cross-functionally within the organization in close alignment with the HEOR department, Regulatory Affairs, and country commercial operations. Drives and aligns all initiatives aimed at accelerating access and launch of products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leverage in-depth market knowledge and develop detailed strategic market access plans to guarantee optimal positioning for its products
  • Lead assessment of industry trends and interpretation of International healthcare regulations and health care system evolution related to target markets.
  • Anticipate trends and changes to ensure alignment of market access strategy with global commercialization, pricing, and access

  • Co-lead the creation of the Global Value Dossiers and provide input to HEOR group for global HEOR plan development and EU observational studies
  • Lead the development of local Value Dossiers and work closely with local country commercial operations in interactions with the HTA agencies
  • Lead preparation of value proposition optimization dossiers to drive and support regional access and inclusion in Hospital formularies
  • Monitor trends and anticipate key developments in International markets with respect to Health Technology Assessment and Government/Payer reimbursement initiate
  • Lead development of evidence-based economic value messages to communicate the value story to payers, healthcare providers and other decision-makers
  • Lead the pricing strategy for International markets (with specific focus on reference pricing elements) in order to maximize the value of Mirati product portfolio
  • Lead person to build and evolve relationships with HTA authorities in International
  • Prepare and manage annual strategic plans and budgets for International market access function with accurate forecasting and prudent decision making
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities and challenges in the region and develop action-oriented strategies.
  • Drive commercial development through regulatory or policy change leveraging your influences upon policymaking bodies both internally and externally
  • Provide ongoing education and support to the broader corporate and market access team to ensure fluency in addressing International market access questions and issues, and to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations

What is Required

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience required. Advanced Degree (PharmD, PhD, MD)
  • preferred; Post-doctoral degree in Health Economics and Public Health preferred.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of industry experience in International markets in market access and pricing
  • Product management with at least 3 years leadership of International market access function.
  • Member of the International Leadership team
  • Member of the International Pricing Committee
  • Supervisory experience of a multi-national, multi-location team
  • Track record of successfully operating in a matrix management environment
  • Experience with high-priced pharmaceutical products, preferably in Hospital market
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong oral and written skills in 2-3 International languages
  • Demonstrates ability to direct the International pricing and reimbursement strategy, drive and oversee the implementation, and review on an on-going basis to generate long term success
  • Ability to create strategic plans in a "green field" environment
  • Ability to prioritize and execute independently, and is a self-starter
  • Interacts successfully by creating alignment horizontally and vertically with internal and external stakeholders and is able to influence and direct people both in line management as well as in matrix
