Job Description Summary

A leader in establishing and growing strategic site-based relationships in clinical research; with a focus on improving execution and alignment. Responsible for designated clinical research collaborations the relationship in whole including maximizing performance and overall success while ensuring both parties are aligned.

Your Responsibilities

  • Secure new and grow designated current research collaborations with the priorities of enhancing accrual and improving satisfaction with execution
    • With strong knowledge of both organizations and an operational background; develop plans and strategies with Head of Clinical Research Collaborations and oversee execution of initiatives which could include:
      • Accrual initiatives – such as a just in time activation program
      • Trial portfolio - which trials are to be offered and the overall portfolio strategy
      • Engagement plan – influence the content and approach for education and engagement purposes
      • Study start up efficiencies
    • Oversee milestones and deliverables for designated collaborations by working closely with the broader Study Optimization team to establish and measure KPIs and more
    • Align with and advise Head of Clinical Research Collaborations for designated collaborations:
      • A strong understanding of the collaborations to inform new operational models and strategies
      • Advise on resources and programs at Mirati needed to execute such as investigator initiated trials to project management needs
      • Serve as subject matter expert for the designated collaborations
    • Serve as the point of contact for designated research executives; includes traveling regularly to engage in person

What is Required

  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Bachelor and/or Master of Science degree in a medical/pharmaceutical/biological discipline
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in clinical research and working with or at the site level
  • Prefer direct experience in leading and managing oncology clinical trials, and in accelerating clinical study start up
  • Experience directly leading an organization and or colleagues on strategic relationships
  • Prefer global experience and masters in business administration
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive engagement and strategic account planning
  • Highly developed communication skills appropriate to the target audience, promoting effective decision-making where necessary
  • Demonstrated project management and cross-functional team leadership experience
  • Strategic thinking and targeted problem-solving skills
